Seiya Yamachika

6th Year Student at Secondary School attached to the Faculty of Education, the University of Tokyo

I conduct research on body ownership, sense of agency, and perception.
My research focuses especially on the Rubber Hand Illusion and
body cognition in virtual reality environments.

Research Overview

I am currently conducting research into the effects of the transfer of body ownership
induced by the rubber hand illusion on movements that involve reference to body position.

I am also conducting research into perception and cognition, including the
Phantom Touch Illusion and body ownership in VR environments, as well
as the effects of such transfers on human behaviour and movement.
